The Bluey BoxLunch Collaboration of Our Dreams

If you are a Geek Parent yourself, you’d be hard pressed not to have an affinity with this generation’s sage blue dog. Bluey has been a family favorite of ours since it first hit our screens in 2020. I was even able to interview Chilli herself, Melanie Zanetti, for GeekMom. The wit and wisdom of Bandit, the games created by Bluey herself, the curiosity of Bingo, the simply amazing Chilli, there is something for everyone on this show. In the early days, it was hard to find merch for this 7-minute Australian show, and making our own was the way to go. The past year has seen a wonderful array of games and toys on the market, and some really nice clothing at Target. But today we are given the gift of a generation, an expanded collaboration with BoxLunch.

All Images: BoxLunch

Available in-store and at BoxLunch.com, the full assortment will include a wide variety of apparel for toddlers to adults, accessories, jewelry and so many more other interesting things. One of the great things about BoxLunch is that you never know what you are going to get. They go way beyond the standard t-shirt, backpack, enamel pin section of geekdom, and combine things in unusual and often unexpected ways. For example, I expected this new release to include more Bluey shirts, but this lineup has an adult and kid sized Rugby shirt. Perfect for Bandit Fans. I expected a blanket or two, but I didn’t expect pillows, and especially not pillows of anyone but the main four! I can have Chloe and Coco on my couch!!!

There is a youth holiday sweater which will probably grace my Christmas cards this year, though sadly no adult version as of this date. There is a button-up shirt featuring the camping adventures of Bluey and Jean Luc. There is even a scrunchy set where the scrunchies have ears. I repeat, the scrunchies have ears!

This collection has gone beyond the basic components of the show, and really done fans proud with the creativity of the images and items chosen. And given that it’s BoxLunch, the quality is guaranteed. I have quite a collection of Christmas sweaters from the past twenty years, but my nicest one is my Jurassic Park sweater that I acquired from BoxLunch two years ago. Many washes later it has retained its amazing softness and shape.

I have actually been a bit of a BoxLunch junkie for the past two years. Thankfully a store came to Maine about six months ago (I was there the moment it opened), and I have enjoyed watching the Bluey merch trickle in. But this is like drinking from a fire hydrant of awesome, and I cannot wait to get my hands on some of this. They also already carry a couple of Bluey games, one of which, The Keepy Uppy Game, was the scene stealer at the Pinault family Christmas last year.

And remember, for every $10 spent BoxLunch donates a meal to a person in need through its partnership with Feeding America.

It’s gotta be done!
